About Salsa
Salsa (the dance) comes from a huge number of influences including Cuban son and danzon, and North American swing. The music similarly, has evolved from Africa, through Cuba and Puerto Rico and through the big-band jazz of the U.S. It has become very popular in recent years and you can now find a class in almost every major city in Europe, if not the world. It combines positive-energy Latin music with sensual turn patterns danced with a partner. At Danzon we teach principally LA-style salsa (also called ‘cross-body on 1’). This is the most common style of salsa in the UK and Ireland.

Classes
Danzon currently has 3 weekly salsa nights. There are beginners' classes at all four venues. All are welcome. To get your first beginners' class free, click here.
