At Danzon we can provide an instructor to come into your school to teach salsa or zumba.

FAQ

1. How many students will you take in a class?
We can take up to two classes together - up to 80 students as long as there is sufficient space, for example, in a sports hall.

2. Do the pupils need any special clothes or equipment?
None. Just the regular gym kit is fine for zumba, and for salsa, either gym kit or class-room wear is fine.

3. Does the class suit boys as well as girls?
We recommend salsa for all-girls or co-educational schools, and zumba for all-girls classes. We do not recommend this style of dancing where there are more boys in the class than a 1:1 ratio.

4. Salsa or zumba? Which is best for my class?
Salsa fts well within a syllabus for sports, Spanish, music and international cultures. It works wll with both all-girls and mixed classes.

Zumba is a great alternative within a sports programme, and works best with all-girls' schools.

- A six-week course in salsa and merengue as part of the girls' PE programme, leading to a performance to tie in with other students on a videography course at St Michales, Finglas, D11.

- A lunchtime fun-class for any pupils who wanted to attend, at St. Jpseph's School, Stanhope Street, D7.

- A one-off class at Colaiste Bride, Clondalkin, D22 as part of their celebration of international cultures day.
